Ways to Make a Difference
In Nigeria during the early 2000’s kids became orphans as a result of losing their parents to AIDS. However today, especially in the northern part of Nigeria, we see more kids becoming orphans as a result of religious crises, mainly between Muslims and Christians, which lead to the killing of their parents. Another major reason kids become orphans in the northern part of Nigeria is because of the activities of Boko Haram. As a result, kids end up losing either both of their parents or even get themselves killed. Some of the lucky kids who are left behind after the death of their parents are rendered homeless and roaming on the streets. That is why our foundation is not only working to help orphans but also advocating and educating people on the importance of peace. With peace, crisis can be eliminated which will help to reduce the number of at-risk children and orphans.
Donations that can be taken to the orphanages of Nigeria open doors for us to promote peace. Any non-perishable foods, clothing, toys and games are always needed. Our volunteer opportunities are flexible and fun projects for families, school groups, churches, companies and individuals alike.
