The Christmas season is synonymous with the season of love. It is a time to share, give and spread love.
It is also a season to extend a hand of love to the not-so-privileged in the society to help ease their burden and make them know that they are not alone in whatever they are going through. Like George Eliot asked, β What do we live for, if not to make life less difficult for each other?β This came to play when The Alice Gombwer foundation took it upon itself to put a smile on the faces of 10 widows with the full Christmas package and all the goodies they prepared for them.
The event which took place on the 18th of December, 2021 was led by a formidable team from the foundation. Their visit to the widows was heartfelt as some widows expressed their profound gratitude with hugs, tears of joy, and thanksgiving. The widows got a full Christmas package of 10kg of rice, 2.6 liters of vegetable oil, 1 live chicken, and a well-packaged envelope containing some amount of money with the foundationβs t-shirt and lots more.
For the beneficiaries, it was a true experience, and the definition of “Christmas came early”. As a foundation we are happy the beneficiaries got to experience the true meaning of Christmas which is love, joy, happiness, and sharing. This act of kindness and experience will make a lasting impression in our memories and theirs too.
At this juncture, we would like to appreciate all our donors, team, and everyone that made this project a reality. Thank you, God bless you.
Do not forget that in your own little way you can make someone smile and experience the true meaning of Christmas.
